Scope and Content
This series contains personal papers pertaining to Wilbur G. Kurtz, Sr. and his family. The majority of the material is correspondence between family members and a series of diaries Kurtz Sr. kept from 1899 to 1964. The bulk of the diaries were written between 1899 and 1906 when Kurtz Sr. resided in Indiana and Illinois. Many of the diary entries record daily activities while living at home in Greencastle, Indiana and attending art school in Chicago, Illinois. Also included in this series are materials pertaining to his sons Eugene Kurtz and Wilbur G. Kurtz, Jr., and the Fuller-Kurtz families genealogy papers.
