This series contains research notes, articles, book excerpts, and student papers from Georgia State University on a variety of topics relating to cemeteries. Areas of research include African American cemeteries and burial traditions; Jewish cemeteries; burial practices based on religion, culture, or geographic location; military cemeteries; landscape architecture and preservation; use of cemeteries as parks; plant selection in cemeteries; and architectural details and motifs in cemeteries. The series also includes a large amount of material about the Rural Cemetery Movement.
