This series contains correspondence, clippings, and United States Navy publications that document the career and civic activities of Captain Francis L. Edmondson. The majority of the series provides details on Edmondson's service in the Navy including time spent offshore from Hong Kong aboard the repair ship U.S.S. Delta AR-9. Of special note are items illustrating Edmondson's interest in Civil War history, as well as a collection of humorous stories and pin up artwork.
