This series contains committee meeting minutes from the Zoning Review Board’s review of rezoning petitions and special use permits, as well as discussions about city zoning ordinance changes. The series contains rezoning petitions for personal property, a residential or industrial area, or streets. Also included are special use permits filed for additions to businesses and building structure. Minutes also document special meetings where the public discussed specific topics such as proposed zoning ordinance changes and subsequent district map updates. After 1974, the minutes are less detailed because the meetings were recorded on videotape. The videotapes, on which the minutes were recorded, are available in the City of Atlanta records at the Atlanta History Center.
