This collection contains records that Mary Margaret Carr collected during her tenure as executive director of the Child Service and Family Counseling Center. It documents the history and management of the organization as well as some of its programs and initiatives, such as the DeKalb County Task Force on Teenage Pregnancy, the Employee Assistant Program, and Maternity Homes. Record types represented include meeting agendas, project planning documents, conference materials, memos and correspondence, and reports. There is also material from other family service organizations and government agencies that collaborated with the Counseling Center such as Atlanta Executive Service Corps (AESC), the DeKalb County Board of Education, the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), and the Georgia Department of Human Resources. Of particular note is a manual authored by the DeKalb Teenage Pregnancy and Parenting Program (TAPP). The collection also includes professional material from Carr’s career.
