Scope and Contents This collection contains photographs of Atlanta's Woman of the Year awardees, sponsors, and committee chairs for each year. Of particular note is a photograph of Atlanta's Woman of the Year founder, Charles H. Jagels, in 1943, as well as photographs of Mayors William B. Hartsfield (1890-1971) and Ivan Allen Jr. (1911-2003) with Woman of the Year awardees. Scope and Contents of the Records

The bulk of this collection consists of meeting minutes, financial records, annual reports, membership lists, correspondence, publications, and scholarship fund information. Publications include English Speaking Union News and The Branch Officer’s Bulletin. Also included are the dissertations of Ph.D. students awarded grants from the Atlanta Branch’s scholarship funds to help them pursue their research in England.
