Scope and Content This collection contains a 28-page autobiography of George Gilman Smith, Jr. about his life in Antebellum Atlanta. Mr. Smith lived with his parents in Atlanta from 1847-1854.
Scope and Content This collection contains include tax returns, articles written by family members, programs, a bulletin, and newspaper clippings. Of particular note are recorded interviews with three members of the Smith family: Leroy Wingate (the uncle of Dorothy Smith Allen), Dorothy Smith Allen, and Robert Stuart Allen. The interviews detail growing up in Georgia during the Great Depression.

Scope and Content The collection includes warranty and indenture deeds, wills, promissory notes, contracts, title abstracts, and other legal documents pertaining to members of the Smith family, primarily David and Jane Smith, and their son Owen. Warranty and indenture deeds describe title transfers of land in the 14th District of Fulton County, land lots 46, 51, 77, 85, and 117 where David Smith owned property beginning in the 1880s.
