Scope and Content This collection contains articles, certificates, correspondence, deeds, a ledger, military records, and school assignments. The majority of the records consist of deeds dated 1832-1887 of properties purchased by John Marshall Berry in Rome, Georgia. Included are deeds for one half of a commercial lot bought by Charles H. Chandler-Watson wedding invitation

Scope and Content

This collection contains an invitation for the wedding between Beth Imogene Chandler, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gladstone Lewis Chandler, and Reverend Theodore John Watson, Jr. on August 29, 1964. The couple married in the Cathedral of St. Phillip. Ms. Chandler was the first African American woman married in a predominantly white church in Atlanta, Georgia.

This collection consists of personal papers of Esther Garrett Wynne, including correspondence with her brother, Franklin Garrett. Other documents are invitations, newspaper clippings, correspondence with others, memorabilia, and garden club yearbooks. There are also eight scrapbooks, which highlight Mrs. Wynne's activities throughout her life, including her first marriage, her time in the Red Cross, travels, and her social activities.

Kathryne Gilbert scrapbooks

This collection consists of six scrapbooks and one autograph book. The six scrapbooks were assembled by Kathryne Gilbert. Five of the scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings regarding Atlanta weddings and handwritten copies of the invitations. The earliest scrapbook consists of a daily account of the actions of unidentified people and what they were wearing. The autograph book belonged to Kate Johnson and was a Christmas gift from her brother, Willie G. Johnson, in 1887.
