The majority of the collection includes court records compiled as a result of litigation against the proprietors of the Winecoff Hotel in Atlanta.

This collection contains the records of the 1912 term and include a description, date, and the names of witnesses and lawyers involved. The majority of the records are for petty crimes, such as theft, simple larceny, and gaming.

This collection contains one bound volume of photocopies of the Report of Trial of the United States vs. Thomas E. Watson. Included are the jurors' interviews and the selection process, examples of the language used in The Jeffersonian article, and the testimony of the witnesses with Watson representing himself.

Winecoff Hotel collection
This collection is comprised of materials pertaining to the Winecoff Hotel fire of 1946 that killed 119 individuals. The scrapbook contains newspaper accounts of the fire and aftermath. The remainder of the material is transcripts of testimony given during courts cases involving victims of the fire.
