Hastings, past president of The Garden Club of Georgia, well known lecturer, author, and wife of Donald M. Hastings, owner of H. G. Hastings Co.

The images document three generations of the Long, Rucker, and Aiken families and visually chronicles their rise from slavery to social and political influence. It also provides visual documentation of African American life from Reconstruction to the late 20th century.
