Administrative/Biographical History

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Atlanta Scottish Association (LAASA), founded in 1919, provided those of Scottish descent in Atlanta with social support. Activities included monthly meetings held at the homes of members, social events, and community outreach. The LAASA activities augmented those of the Atlanta Scottish Association. A local, unique building, the Burns Cottage, in Atlanta, Georgia, was a favored gathering venue for events.
