Biographical/Historical Note

The Nashville, Chattanooga Railway was granted a charter by the state of Tennessee on December 11, 1845. The Nashville and Chattanooga Railroad served as an outlet for Tennessee products. With plans to acquire a line into St. Louis, the name was changed to the Nashville, Chattanooga, and St. Louis Railroad in 1873.


Scope and Content Note

The collection contains time sheets for John Tatum at the Vinings, Georgia station. Included are time, rate of pay, and occupations.
