Administrative/Biographical History

Peter Kimbrough (approximately 1824-?) and Mariah Little (approximately 1845-?) were born into slavery in Georgia. In 1870, Peter was a farmer and Mariah kept house in Oneals, Talbot County, Georgia. The couple had four children: Franklin (approximately 1863-?); Augustus (approximately 1865-?); Dollie (approximately 1868-?) and an unidentified female child (1870-?). Georgia voter registration returns document Kimbrough's registration in Talbot County on July 29th, 1867. Additional biographical information about Peter Kimbrough and Mariah Little has not been determined.
