Administrative/Biographical History

The Northside Library Association was founded as the North Peachtree Road Woman's club in order to maintain an organized center of thought and activity among the women of the Buckhead vicinitiy and to aid in the promotion of their mutual interests. The name was changed to Northside Library Association in July 1929. The association also changed its goals to that of aiding in the formation and support of the Ida Williams Branch of the Atlanta Fulton Public Library System.
