Biographical/Historical Note

Clifford A. Shillinglaw (1914-1979) was a Coca-Cola Company executive in Atlanta, Georgia. In the 1970s, he began collecting cookbooks about Southern United States cuisine. Additional biographical information about Clifford A. Shillinglaw has not been determined.


Scope and Content Note

This collection contains four cookbooks with handwritten recipes. One booklet identifies the owner as Sarah H. Woods from "Medway." One bound manuscript, entitled "Recipe Book," consists of mostly handwritten recipes. The front cover and inside back cover indicate the owner of this recipe book was Elizabeth A. White of Winchester, Virginia, and Baltimore, Maryland.
