This collection contains a scrapbook compiled by Addie Steinheimer. Included in the scrapbook are newspaper clippings regarding David Mayer, David Steinheimer, and the Atlanta Jewish Community. It also contains newspaper articles on the history of Atlanta. There is also a 1939 Commercial High School yearbook and an obituary for Addie.

Administrative/Biographical History

Addie Steinheimer (1872-1957) was born to David Steinheimer and Isabel Mayer Steinheimer. Her maternal grandfather, David Mayer, was one of the organizers of the Atlanta Public School System. Addie taught commercial subjects and was head of the stenographic department at Commercial High School for several years. Additional biographical information about Addie Steinheimer has not been determined.
