Biographical/Historical Note

Horace Greeley founded the newspaper The New York Tribune in 1841. He was the editor of the paper until 1872 when Whitelaw Reid took over. Additional biographical about Horace Greeley has not been determined.

Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of a single scrapbook that contains newspaper clippings of the column "The News This Morning - Foreign" from the New York Daily Tribune.
