Biographical/Historical Note

The members of the Herreshoff family were shipbuilders in Tennessee. Mrs. Carrie Ridley Herreshoff of Atlanta, Georgia, was active in the Atlanta Woman's Club and other civic organizations. Additional biographical information about Carrie Ridley Herreshoff is not available.


Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of two scrapbooks that primarily contain newspaper clippings. The newspaper clippings primarily pertain to Carrie R. Herreshoff and the Herreshoff family as well as a column titled "Historic Homes" by Pat Jones. They also contains a few photographs and invitations.
