Scope and Content

This collection contains Atlanta political and civic ephemera, including an invitation to a reception at the Commercial Club; ballots, tickets, and a ribbon for the Prohibition party; a ballot for a bond election; a slate of candidates under the White Democratic Primary in Atlanta in 1896; an Anti-Barroom ticket; cards for the election of Governor, State Senator and other officials, including Woodrow Wilson for President of the United States; a ticket for the election of Mayor W. A. Hemphill, and a copy of an address by Sam W. Small to the "working men" of the 35th district; a handbill titled "Democrats Deceived, How the Fulton Democracy was Hoodwinked, Captured and Enslaved to the M.A.B." The collection also contains a menu for Herren's restaurant.
